Genealogy Fair

This past Friday we held our first annual Genealogy Fair via Interactive Video. This fair was a great avenue for reaching new clientele and sharing with them the educational opportunities Extension provides. During the fair, we discussed how to start your genealogy research, use courthouse records and Civil War pension records in genealogy research, and how to preserve those memories using technology. One of the comments from the fair was “I now have a basic understanding in genealogy. I got what I came for. I am appreciative for the vital networking I made.” Another participant stated, “Do some more workshops like this in the future.” As you can tell, the fair was very informative and a huge success for all involved!
