What's that got to do with Tomatoes?

You say tomat-oh, I say tom-ah-to...well, I'm learning a lot more about the tomato industry than I ever thought I would this week! I was asked by Dr. Brook to come down and provide some technical support for Dr. Rick Snyder at the 2009 Mississippi Tomato Short Course conference held at Eagle Ridge Conference Center Tuesday through today. Like most things in Extension, there's a lot more to tomatoes than what meets the eye. I've heard sessions on how to plant, how to care for tomatoes, how to help control climate and humidity, and many other topics. It underscores how much information and support Extension has to offer, and the opportunities the CAS Resource Center has to extend that support.
