This past week several of the CAS staff had the opportunity to attend MECA. That's right, the Mississippi Educational Computing Association brought teachers, technology coordinators, and IT professionals from across the State to downtown Jackson to discuss what's happening with technology in education. MECA has a unique tie-in with Computer Applications and Service. Over 25 years ago Dr. Dan Brook co-founded MECA, since it's original founding MECA has grown into a 1,000 plus member organization, and it is one of the largest educational computing conference in the southeast. Some of the topics we covered at the conference were:
