Coffee Clicks!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the first ever coffee clicks! I had a great time getting to know Marveen, Charles, Clyde and Cheryl in Choctaw County; Maxine and Gary in Webster County; Evelyn, Donna, and Gordan in Lee County; Peggy, Douglas, and Katie in Lawrence County; Shirley, Adele, Julia and Eunice in Kemper, Judith, Hugh and Johnie in Scott; and Ann in Montgomery. I'm sure I missed a few folks and I know a few slipped in late. We had about 25 total participants for our first meeting. During the meeting we discussed basic ideas like hooking up a computer and taking care of it. Ms. Shirley in Kemper County even tried to stump me with a hard word question! If you would like to review the concepts we went over during the class check out the video on the CAS Resource Center website under Special Projects/Community Outreach. Or, you can also request the video on CD or DVD. Our next Coffee Clicks will be March 19th at 10 AM. We'll be discussing how to use a mouse (that pesky right-click vs. left-click), we will also talk about the keyboard and what the function buttons do. If we have time we'll start talking about free software options for your computer. I hope to see you there!
